The latest work in the KIRK Gallery's gable painting project "Out in the Open" now adorns a gable in the center of Aalborg. The work, entitled "The Dance", was created by the well-known Spanish street artist Sabotaje al Montaje and is the result of an extensive collaboration between the Diversity Committee, the housing association Himmerland and the Integration Council.

With diversity as the central theme, the painting portrays a dancing couple - a symbol of community, inclusion and cultural fusion. The artist describes the work as "a cultural and social event that celebrates the union of cultures and human expression."

For over 20 years, Sabotaje al Montaje has made his mark on the international street art scene with his expressive and detailed gable murals, often with a social message. He paints freehand and moves stylistically between abstract expressionism and realism. His works can be found in public spaces and museums around the world.

The gable mural was installed on the Comfort House building, where the residents have warmly welcomed the work and clearly reflected in its message. The project has been realized with great support from the Diversity Committee, Himmerland Boligforening and a number of local actors, including Councilor Nuuradiin Hussein (S), Lotte Finck (C) and Rosalina Schmidt (Ø).
